Job Description
We are hiring Warehouse Operatives at our Bradford fulfilment centre right now. The work is physical and fast paced. You will be picking, packing, and moving orders every day so they reach customers on time. No degree needed. No experience needed. Just show up, work hard, and the job is yours.
A Day in the Warehouse
Every shift follows a clear routine. You will know what is expected from day one:
- Picking products off shelves using a handheld scanner
- Packing orders carefully and labelling them for dispatch
- Sorting parcels onto the right conveyor belts
- Receiving stock deliveries and checking them against the system
- Keeping your work area clean and organised at all times
- Hitting daily picking and packing targets set by your team leader
- Reporting damaged stock or broken equipment to your supervisor straight away
Is This Job Right for You
This is not a desk job. Before you apply, make sure this fits your lifestyle:
- You are comfortable standing and moving for most of your shift
- You can lift and carry items up to 23kg without difficulty
- You are punctual and do not leave your team short handed
- You can work at a steady pace and keep up with daily targets
- Early morning or late night shifts do not put you off
- You follow instructions well and work without needing constant supervision
If all of that sounds fine, you are a good fit for this role.
Requirements
Before you send your application, make sure you have everything ready:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK — British passport, EU settled status, or a valid UK work visa
- A valid photo ID such as a passport or driving licence
- Your National Insurance number
- A UK bank account where your weekly pay will be sent
- Basic English — enough to understand instructions and follow safety rules on the floor
- A clean basic criminal record check — Amazon runs this before you start
No degree, no CV, and no prior warehouse experience is needed. If your documents are in order and you are ready to work, you can apply today.
Pay, Shifts and Hours
- £12.50 – £15.00 per hour depending on your shift and experience
- Full time: 40 hours per week
- Day shifts and night shifts both available — pick what works for you
- Overtime is available and pays well especially during busy seasons like Christmas
- You get paid every Friday directly into your bank account
Training and Your First Week
You do not need to know anything about warehouse work before you start. Amazon runs a proper induction when you join. Your first week will cover:
- How to use the handheld scanner correctly
- Safety rules on the warehouse floor
- How picking and packing targets work
- Who to go to if you have a problem or question
- What to do during an emergency on site
By the end of your first week you will know exactly what you are doing and where everything is.
What You Get Working Here
Amazon is one of the biggest employers in the UK and they look after their staff. Here is what comes with the job:
- Weekly pay every Friday — no waiting around for your money
- Free private medical insurance after your qualifying period
- Pension scheme with Amazon contributing on top of your own payments
- Paid breaks during every shift
- Staff discount on Amazon purchases
- Canteen and rest areas on site
- Consistent work throughout the year with extra hours when you want them
