Regarding the Post
Alliance Career Group are looking for a Logistics Coordinator. This person will help with the work that goes on in the warehouses. They will be in charge of sending out shipments and keeping track of what's in the warehouse. The Logistics Coordinator will work with the people who transport goods the teams in the warehouse and the people who supply the goods. They have to make sure everything runs smoothly every day in the United Kingdom. The Logistics Coordinator will do an important job, for Alliance Career Group.
We want those candidates who have worked with logistics. This means they have done things like warehouse coordination or supply chain management. We will help good applicants from countries get a visa if they are qualified, for the job.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of shipments in the warehouse.
- Maintain stock levels Record warehouse stock levels.
- Coordinate delivery times with carriers and suppliers.
- Prepare logistics reports and shipping documents.
- Monitor deliveries and provide updates on shipments as needed
- Address logistics issues to allow warehouse operations.
- Monitor transportation costs and recommend process improvements.
- Adhere to warehouse procedures and UK logistics legislation.
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse and customer service teams.
- Assistance with projects related to warehouse efficiency and logistics planning.
Candidate Profiles
Applicants are required to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or comparable.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Understand shipping documents and transport procedures.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work to deadlines and maintain accuracy.
Technical Skills
Candidates will have experience working with
- Microsoft Excel ERP software
- Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Software for Inventory Management
- Email and business communication tools
Experience of UK import/export procedures would be an advantage.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2-4 years experience in logistics, warehouse operations or supply chain management.
Previous experience in 3PL, freight forwarding or import/export an advantage.
Previous experience in a high-volume warehouse environment is a plus.
Working Hours
Full time.
Monday - Friday.
9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Additional hours may be needed during peak periods of operation.
