Job Description
Guild is a UK-based operations firm that manages back-office data processing for businesses in the property and financial services sectors. As our client base grows, we need a reliable and focused Data Entry Specialist to join our remote team full-time.
This role suits someone who takes quiet pride in clean, accurate work. You will process structured records, maintain databases, and keep information moving correctly across client accounts. The work is consistent by nature — if you find focus in detailed, repeatable tasks and treat every error as something worth preventing, this role is built for someone like you.
Accuracy comes first here. We would rather you slow down and get it right than rush through a batch and create problems downstream. Speed matters, but never at the cost of quality.
What You Will Do
- Enter and update structured data from source documents into our internal systems with a high level of accuracy
- Cross-check new records against existing entries to catch duplicates, gaps, or inconsistencies before they become problems
- Update client account details following requests submitted through internal channels
- Flag incomplete or unclear source data to your team lead before proceeding — no guessing allowed
- Run validation checks on completed batches before submission
- Organise and archive digital documents according to agreed naming conventions
- Support monthly data reviews by pulling specified record sets and preparing them for team audit
- Contribute to a shared error log that helps the team improve its processes over time
- Take on data cleansing tasks during lower-volume periods
- Keep your line manager informed about workload, particularly during high-volume weeks
What We Offer
- £26,000 – £29,000 per year, paid monthly
- Fully remote from day one — no commute, no office requirement
- Flexible hours within a core working window of 9am to 4pm GMT
- 28 days paid holiday per year (including bank holidays), in line with UK statutory entitlements
- Structured onboarding over your first two weeks so you are set up properly before working independently
- Regular one-to-one check-ins with your line manager — direct feedback, no red tape
- A team culture that values honest communication over blame
- Room to take on additional responsibilities as the team grows
Who Fits Well Here
This role is perfect for self-starters who are really comfortable with structured, detail-oriented work. You don’t need constant variety to stay involved. "You are responsible for your output, you speak up when something is not right and you don't do the same thing over and over again without thinking.
Previous experience in the property, insurance or financial services industry is preferred, but not required. Most important is how you do the work — carefully, steadily, and with a determination to do it right.
About Us
We handle data processing and administrative operations for mid-sized UK businesses that need reliable back-office support. Our clients include property agencies, financial services firms, and professional services providers. We have built our reputation through consistent, accurate work — and the same standard applies to every person on our team.
Requirements
- Proven ability to maintain accuracy in high-volume, repetitive work environments
- Ability to type 55+ words per minute with good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets such as filters, basic formulas and data sorting.
- Previous experience in data entry, administration or records management preferred but not essential
- Ability to follow documented processes consistently, without needing them explained repeatedly
- Familiarity with database tools or CRM systems is useful; full training is provided regardless
- A methodical and self-directed working style — you manage your time well and do not need close supervision to stay on task
- Discreet and dependable when handling confidential client information — this is a firm requirement
- Proactive communication: if something looks off, you raise it rather than make an assumption
