They supply news, sport, entertainment, and data to every major media outlet in the UK — including BBC, Sky News, The Guardian, and The Times. They have been running since 1868 and are one of the most trusted names in British journalism.
Right now they are looking for a News Reporter who can work remotely from anywhere in the UK. - Work closely with editors and sub-editors to get copy right
- Pitch story ideas when you spot something worth covering
Working Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work during breaking news
- Flexible start and end times within reason
- Must be reachable during core UK news hours

- At least 2 years of experience in news reporting
- Fast and accurate writing under deadline pressure
- Strong understanding of UK media law and journalism ethics
- Good contacts and ability to find and develop sources
- Comfortable using a CMS for filing copy
- Sharp news sense you know a story when you see one
Experience
Minimum 2 years experience in news reporting are required. Candidates with experience in a regional newspaper, online news outlet or broadcast newsroom are preferred.
Those candidates who are fresh journalism graduates without reporting experience for this role.
What You Get
- Annual salary of £28,000 – £38,000 based on experience
- Fully remote — work from anywhere in the UK
- Paid holiday entitlement as per UK employment law
- Pension scheme with company contribution
- Access to PA Media's full suite of journalism tools and databases
- A byline that carries real weight across UK media
- Stable long term employment with one of the UK's oldest and most respected news organisations
