Job Description
DHL Supply Chain is one of the biggest logistics and warehouse companies in the world and right now their Leeds site needs Warehouse Operatives to join the team. The work is hands on and physical. You will be picking, packing, and moving stock every day to make sure deliveries go out on time.
No experience needed. No degree needed. If you can work hard, show up on time, and keep up with the team, DHL wants to hear from you.
Job Role:
Your shift will follow a clear routine from the moment you clock in:
- Picking stock from shelves using a handheld scanner
- Packing orders carefully and preparing them for dispatch
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles when needed
- Checking incoming stock against delivery notes for accuracy
- Moving pallets and boxes around the warehouse using a pump truck
- Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised throughout the shift
- Meeting daily picking and packing targets set by your team leader
Requirements
DHL keeps the entry bar low for this role. Here is what you need:
- You must be at least 18 years old
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- A valid photo ID — passport or driving licence
- Your National Insurance number
- A UK bank account for your weekly pay
- Basic English to follow safety instructions and communicate with your team
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg comfortably
- No warehouse experience required — full training is provided on site
Be honest with yourself before applying:
- You are comfortable being on your feet and moving around for most of your shift
- You do not mind early morning starts or late night shifts
- You are reliable and your team can count on you to show up
- You can work at a steady pace and hit daily targets
- You are comfortable in a large busy warehouse environment
- You follow health and safety rules without being reminded every day
If all of that fits, you are ready to apply.
Pay, Shifts and Hours
- £12.00 – £14.50 per hour depending on shift and experience
- Full time: 40 hours per week
- Day shifts and night shifts both available
- Overtime available and well paid especially during peak seasons
- Weekly pay straight into your bank account every Friday
- Night shift workers receive an additional shift allowance on top of base pay
Your First Week at DHL

- Warehouse safety rules and emergency procedures
- How to operate a handheld scanner correctly
- Pump truck and manual handling training
- How daily targets work and how they are tracked
- Who your team leader is and how to raise any issues during your shift
By the end of week one you will know exactly what is expected and how everything works.
What DHL Offers

- Pension scheme with DHL contributing alongside your payments
- 28 days paid annual leave including bank holidays
- Paid breaks during every shift
- On site canteen and rest facilities at the Leeds depot
