Job Description
Teladoc Health is a US telehealth company. They enable patients to talk to nurses and doctors by phone or video call without having to go to a clinic. They are looking for Registered Nurses who can work from home and assist the patients with their health questions immediately.
You won’t be working on a hospital floor. You will be in the office, on the phone, listening to patients, helping them figure out what to do next. If you’re a qualified nurse and want to work without the physical demands of a hospital, this is a good option.
Job Role
- Talk to patients over phone or video and listen to what they are experiencing
- Ask the right questions to understand their symptoms
- Give basic health advice based on clinical guidelines
- Tell patients whether they need emergency care, a specialist, or just rest at home
- Write down every patient interaction clearly in the system
- Follow up with patients when needed after their first call
Requirements
- A valid Registered Nurse license — active and in good standing
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Good listener — you cannot see the patient so listening carefully is everything
- Can make quick decisions without second guessing yourself
- Comfortable talking to patients over phone and video every day
- A quiet room at home with stable internet
- Basic computer skills for using the patient system
Experience
Two years of clinical nursing experience is required. Emergency care, urgent care, or primary care background is preferred. Telehealth experience is a plus but not necessary if your clinical background is solid.
Working Hours
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts available
- Some weekend shifts on rotation
- Teladoc runs 24 hours so shift timings are flexible
Job Benefits
- $65,000 – $85,000 per year based on your experience
- Work completely from home
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401k with company contribution
- Paid time off and sick days
- No hospital floors, no night shifts standing on your feet for 12 hours
