Job Description
uTest, which is part of Applause, is one of the largest software testing communities in the world. They connect businesses with real testers who test apps, websites, and software from their own devices at home. Right now they are looking for people who can join their testing community and take on paid testing projects on a part-time flexible basis.
This is a real remote job where you get paid for finding bugs and reporting issues in apps and websites before they go live. You do not need a computer science degree to apply. If you use apps and websites regularly and have a good eye for when something does not work right, you can do this job from home.
Job Responsiblity
- Test websites, mobile apps, and software for bugs and errors
- Follow test cases provided and check if everything works as expected
- Write clear bug reports explaining what went wrong and how to reproduce it
- Test on your own devices — phone, tablet, or laptop
- Submit your reports within the deadline given for each project
- Participate in different types of tests including functional, usability, and payment testing
Requirements
- A smartphone, tablet, or laptop — preferably more than one device
- Good observation skills — you need to notice when something does not work right
- Ability to write clear and simple bug reports in English
- Basic understanding of how apps and websites work
- Reliable internet connection
- No coding or programming knowledge required
Experience
No formal experience is required. uTest provides guidelines and tutorials when you join their platform. If you have used apps and websites regularly and can describe problems clearly, you are already qualified to start.
