3 Questions Answered
Is the pay rate the same for under 18s?
Lidl pays all employees the same hourly rate regardless of age, which is unusual in retail and one of the reasons they attract good candidates.
Do I have to work every weekend?
Weekend work is part of the role but your exact rota is agreed with your store manager. Most staff work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts rather than every Saturday and Sunday.
Can I progress to a management role from Store Assistant?
Yes. Lidl has a clear internal progression path. Many of their current Shift Managers and Deputy Store Managers started out as Store Assistants on the shop floor.
