Concrete Pump Operator - Construction Jobs

Elevon Career Partners is looking for a Concrete Pump Operator to work on construction projects in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Concrete Pump Operator will be in charge of the Concrete Pump Operator equipment to move concrete around to the work sites. The Concrete Pump Operator has to follow the instructions at the site and make sure to be safe. Applicant must have experience working with pump equipment.

They need to work with site teams to finish daily construction tasks on time.

This job involves checking equipment doing maintenance and keeping accurate records.

The applicant will work with pump equipment daily.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• Operate concrete pump trucks and related equipment to transport and place concrete at construction sites.
• Place pumping equipment in correct position before placing concrete.
• Place concrete in designated location as per site instructions .
• Monitor concrete flow during pumping to ensure continuous, accurate placement.
• Set up and dismantle pumping equipment, as required.
• Make pre-start inspections before operating machinery.
• Check equipment regularly for wear, leaks or mechanical problems.
• Report any faults or need for repair at once.
• Each shift, keep work areas clean and follow site safety procedures.
• Coordinate pumping activities with supervisors, equipment operators, drivers and construction workers.
• Log equipment use, concrete delivery information and other necessary site data.
• When requested, assist less experienced operators or site personnel in understanding safe equipment handling.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must have:

• Experience operating concrete pump trucks or similar equipment.
• Good knowledge of concrete placing methods used on construction sites
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements in the workplace.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications .
• Good communications skills, to be able to deal with site personnel.
• Physical ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Ability to modify decisions if site conditions change during work.

Experience

2-5 years experience as a Concrete Pump Operator or similar construction equipment.
Experience with truck mounted and stationary concrete pumps preferred.

Skills

The position requires:

• Operation of concrete pumping equipment safely.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for routine inspections, minor troubleshooting.
• Proper care in handling of equipment and placement of concrete.
• Good record keeping skills.
• Ability to plan and organize daily work to meet assigned deadlines.
• Problem solving skills to address equipment or site issues.
• Experience working with different teams on live construction sites.

Working Hours

This is a full-time position.

Working hours will be generally in line with normal construction site hours.” Some additional hours or weekend work may be required depending on project timelines and site requirements.
