Job Description
Guild Hiring places people into admin and operations roles across the UK. We are currently filling an Airport Admin Assistant position at one of our aviation client sites. The role is onsite and involves shift work.
Job Role:
You will be working in an airport dealing with ticket bookings and passenger queries. People will come to you with booking problems, travel changes and last minute requests. Your job is to sort these out quickly and keep good records on everything.
There will be days of quiet. Others are relentless. Either way, you have to be focused. The role would suit someone who is good with people, quick with admin and able to cope with busy periods.
Job Responsiblity:
- Book, rebook, and cancel airline tickets
- Calculate fares and process payments
- Help passengers with travel questions and booking changes
- Update records of bookings and customer interactions
- Work with airline partners and internal teams to fix issues
- Write daily reports on ticket sales and reservations
- Handle general admin and data entry during your shift
- Follow airport and aviation rules at all times
Requirements
- A degree or diploma in Business Admin, Travel and Tourism, or similar
- Experience using Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo reservation systems
- Good spoken and written English
- Able to handle several tasks at the same time
- Accurate with numbers and records
- Calm and polite when dealing with passengers
- Basic MS Office skills
Experience
- 1 to 3 years in airline ticketing, a travel agency, or airport work
- Fresh candidates with a ticketing or reservations certificate can also apply
Working Hours
- Shift work — mornings, evenings, and nights on rotation
- Includes weekends and public holidays
- Full-time hours
Pay and Benefits
- £22,000 to £29,000 per year
