Visiting Angels is hiring caregivers now in Spokane Valley & surrounding areas. The agency provides non-medical in-home care for seniors who need assistance with activities of daily living and want to stay in their homes.
The local office is hiring new and experienced caregivers for its team. If you have worked as a Home Care Aide, Personal Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant or family caregiver, we encourage you to apply. Entry-level positions are also open to candidates with no professional experience, subject to the necessary hiring process and training.

What You’ll Be Doing
Each assignment is written according to an individual care plan. Some clients need a few hours a day of help while others need longer visits. The clients assigned to you by the office determine your schedule.
Common duties include:
- Making easy meals and snacks.
- Assisting clients with dressing and personal grooming.
- Home visit companionship.
- Helping walk safely in the house.
- Light housekeeping such as vacuuming, laundry and dishes.
- Purchasing groceries and household supplies.
- Travel with clients to appointments as scheduled.
- Recording care activities done after each visit.
- Reporting changes in client’s condition to the care coordinator.
This is about non-medical assistance. The care plan may include reminders for medication, but treatment is provided by licensed healthcare professionals.

Schedule
Assignments are given throughout the week.
Possible shifts include, depending on client needs:
Morning Afternoon Evening Night Weekend
The office provides weekday and weekend schedules and regular weekly assignments are available based on availability for full time caregivers.
Employee Benefits and Pay
Estimated annual compensation for this position is $36,000 - $46,000, based on scheduled hours, experience, and local pay rates.

Minimum Requirements
Applicants must be able to meet the following standards:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Valid driver’s license preferred for client transportation assignments.
Dependable transportation.
Ability to pass required employer background screening.
Reading and communication skills in Basic English.
Some client assignments may require additional licensing in accordance with Washington State regulations.
Physical Demands
Regular movement is required throughout each shift.
Caregivers need to be able to:
- Walk through rooms within client homes.
- Stand for long periods.
- Help clients with safe mobility.
- Carry groceries or light household items.
- Bend, stretch, do any routine of housework.
Additional physical activity may be required for other assignments based on the client’s care plan.
