Job Description

Comfort Keepers is seeking Caregivers to work in the homes of seniors in Fort Worth and surrounding areas. The local office is looking for people to apply who will help clients with their personal care, cooking, companionship, light housekeeping, etc.

Some clients may only need to see you a few times a week, while others may need to see you every day. Therefore, my schedule may vary depending on my clients and caregivers. Hire new people, train them first.

Experience: Entry Level - 2 years

Daily work

The work is carried out in the homes of clients. Because each client has a unique care plan, the duties may vary from assignment to assignment.

A normal shift may consist of:

Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Helping clients move around safely in the house.
Doing laundry and changing bed sheets.
Cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes.
Vacuuming and light house cleaning.
Grocery shopping and approved errands.
Offering companionship during visits.
Transportation to appointments as part of care plan.
Documenting the visit information prior to leaving the client’s home.

Who May Apply

Previous experience in the following positions is helpful:

Candidates without professional experience caring for individuals can be considered after completing the company’s hiring process and training program.

Fundamental Needs

The applicants should, as a rule, fulfill the following requirements:

Preferred: High school diploma or GED.
Authorization to work in the United States legally.
Valid driver’s license, preferred.
Dependable transportation.
Must pass a background screening.
Basic English language skills.
Ability to work independently in homes of clients.
Dependably attendance and punctuality.

Additional requirements may be based upon individual client assignments.

Shifts:

You may pick up assignments any time during the week.

Current scheduling includes:

Mornings.
Afternoon shifts.
Evening shifts.
Night time care.
Week-end homework.

The scheduling team develops weekly assignments based on client requests and caregiver availability. As new clients join and receive services, more hours may be available.

Pay and Benefits

Estimated annual earnings of $45,000-$58,000 depending on hours scheduled, experience, and cases assigned.

Physical Requirements

The caregiver is on their feet most of their shift and moving around the client’s home.

The position may require:

Posing for extended periods.
Walking in between rooms.
Shopping for groceries or household supplies.
Helping with safe transfers.
Reaching, bending, and lifting lightweight objects used during daily care.

Physical activity is dependent on the client’s care plan.

Comfort Keepers is a non-medical home care service for elderly and people who need assistance but wish to stay in their own homes. Services may include aid with daily activities, respite care, transportation assistance, meal prep, personal care and companionship.
